The Predators Game.

So this is tailgateing, the Ashe family invited the Marlins to go to a Predator home game in Orlando (American Football). We met in Celebration and carpooled to the Arena, a few families had brought food and drinks, everyone sat for a while enjoying the sun and the kids threw a ball. We went into the arena about 7pm we had great seats thanks to Mr Ashe.... Last picture is the boys enjoying themselves giving it a bit of YMCA the music was good in the arena, the game was ok, it didn't help that I don't know the rules so I was bored after about 10 mins. The game eventually got exciting Predators tied the game in the last 15 seconds and then lost it with 1 second to go.

Shuttle Launch

The Space Shuttle launched today, this is the view from our street. Always amazes me to see the Shuttle go into space. It was the perfect day for a launch.

A bit of everything.......

The Mulhearns arrived safe and sound, we have had a nice few days with them and now they have gone down to the beach. Johns team the Phillies are in the top team tournament. I did not get any photographs of todays game, the Phillies lost but John made some fantastic plays. We have another game tomorrow. We are going to our first indoor American Football game tonight and we are gonna tail gate (whatever that means). I will be taking my camera so will post some pics tomorrow.

Rubiks Cube

Our usual Friday night, chinese and trip to Barnes and Noble was cancelled this week due to Baseball so we decided to go tonight. We love hanging out in B&N having coffee and browsing the books in our own section, Keith & John always goes to the fitness section, Sam goes to the Prince of Tennis section, I go wherever, and we meet up when its time to leave. The boys instead of buying a book decided to buy a Rubiks Cube, Sam has made a commitment to complete it, he has already been on youtube to see the instructions, somehow I dont think he has the patience for it........ I give John 2 days and he will of had enough of it and Sam may last 3...........

Marlins v Reds Final

It was the final game tonight. The Marlins lost. The Reds came ready to play, we made tons of errors. Coach Ralph made each one of the Marlins a walk on song, Sam wanted "What Ive done" Linkin Park. This would have been cool if Keith would of remembered to keep recording Sam in the box. It was a fantastic season and Coach had some nice things to say at the end about the boys leaving the team to go upto the Juniors...... John has his top team tournament starting next weekend, so that will keep us busy.....

Sports Update

John's team lost the last game of the Disney event. The weather didnt help on Saturday, and the referee played for the other side on Sunday. The competition was really strong, our team has only been together about 4mths, it was a good experience for them, next year we will come back stronger and wiser.
Tonight is the Final of the Baseball, Sams team the Marlins and the Reds are gonna battle it out. We are really excited its gonna be a great game. I wish there was a webcam on the field then you could watch it Dad..... that would be great......

Marlins Pool Party

While Dad and John were at Disney Sam and I went to the Marlins Pool Party at one of the kids house. Coach didnt give the trophies out today as we are still in the play offs so we are gonna have a pizza party after Monday night....... THE BIG GAME.......... Lose on Monday and we are out.....

Disney soccer tournament

John played in the Disney Soccer Event they played their first game today and lost although the team played well. The games were delayed due to some storms,I think that upset everyones concentration, John had fun and was happy to be taking part but wasnt too happy at the defeat...... being goalkeeper is a tough job and you feel like the defeat is your fault. Its the defenders job to keep the ball from coming near the goal......... Lets hope for a better score tomorrow......

Marlins 1 Reds 1.....

Marlins beat the Reds last night (again I dont know the score), it's a completely different game when the game is umpired well, the game is so much better. Fair play to both teams.....!!!! It will be an exciting game on Monday night Marlins have to win to go onto the tournament outside of Celebration. John and Sam are waiting the results of All Stars..... !!!! I love this picture of Sam he isnt looking where the ball is but swings anyway......

The Voice of an Angel......

Sam had a solo in the play in school last night. He did really well he has been practicing in the car, he showed nerves of steel and seemed very confident. I was surprised he wanted to do this, he hates singing in front of people. The picture is a bit shaky we had kids on our bench bouncing up and down while we were trying to take it.

Happy Birthday to me....

I just realized I don't have any pictures of me this is an old one I found from last year on a friends boat, anyway its my birthday today my mum had to remind me how old I was I had forgot.... when you get to my age you stop counting.......! Had a nice day had a friend over for coffee this morning, then friends took me out to Disney's Beach and Yacht club for Lunch.

Reds 1 Marlins 0

Marlins lost last night, a couple of umpiring decisions didn't go our way...... Sam had fun and had a nice hit he loves the baseball win or lose.......!!!!

Mighty Marlins.........

The Marlins beat the White sox tonight to secure a place in the final playoffs against the Reds its the best of 3.... Gonna be some tough tough matches the Reds have played tremendous this season. Sam is in the front row second from the left.

Sunday spent with Ricky.........

We had the pleasure of spending Sunday afternoon with Ricky and his family, they invited us to Arabian Nights were Ricky was to get an award for his horseback riding achievements, Alexis (Rickys mom) wanted John to be there with him. John was blown away.........!!!! It truly was a special day for Ricky and his family we were honoured that they wanted us to be with them. We had a fantastic time playing games and then having dinner and watching a special show especially for the kids. It was priceless.....!!!!

Surfs up......

The kids decided to take a dip on Saturday night, and Chewy decided to go surfin' love the photograph of the kids and the dog, its fantastic. Sam stayed over at Kobe's had a great night......

Last Game of Challenger Baseball

It was the last Challenger Baseball Game today, everyone is really sad. I took this picture of Ricky, John and Sam at the party. We will see Ricky again tomorrow his parents have invited us all to Arabian Nights...... Ricky has a big place in Johns heart.......!

Lazy Friday Night........

Nothing better than a lazy Friday Night, after a busy week of school, baseball and work, we all decided to have a Friday night Chill. Sam wanted a bath, John wanted some computer time, Keith wanted to catch up on Doctor Who and me....... I am lying in bed with a Bud Light blogging and reading my book............. Busy day tomorrow, Last Challenger games and the Marlins play in the first round of the playoffs, Sam is excited and nervous all at the same time, poor kid he wants to hit the ball so badly I can feel his pain..........

Phillies Baseball

This was Johns baseball game on Thursday night against the other Celebration team. John did well got a nice hit and caught two out in the outfield. They won not sure of the score......LOL, havent been posting pictures of Sam playing as he is still out with his finger, we are coming up to the 3rd week, doctor Sean says it should be ok for the next week....

AAU Baseball

This video is last Sunday, our last AAU game. John played AAU Baseball this year he really enjoyed it and played really well,  John is up to bat and he brings in the first run, or it might be the second or the third.  I have no clue I am a footie fan.......  AAU is a massive commitment and I didn't realize it until one Sunday morning at 6am I found myself driving down the I4 to a baseball game....... I was NOT amused.......!!!!!!

Chillin at Arry and Jaynes

Went down to Arry's and Jaynes yesturday for a couple of hours, Maggie always loves to go down and eat the water out of the hose pipe, and Sam and John swam in the pool... a lazy Sunday afternoon

Saturday Night Sleepover.......

Sam had his friend Kobe sleepover, John(keith) made a tent for them on the top floor they had loads of fun and were fast asleep by midnight and didnt wake till 8.45am, what a great sleepover that was, I think we got off lightly, I was expecting a 3am job.....LOL

Heres my girl........  Maggie Simpson is loving her life here in Florida, she loves the sun and the heat but she hates the rain in the rainy season, she will absolutely not go out if its raining.....!

"Here comes Birchy", John played in the Celebration Soccer Youth League, and Keith (John) coached the team, it was a recreational league so wasnt suppose to be competative, no such thing in the Birchalls life I hear you all back in Liverpool say...........

Baseball Buddies....

Here is John and Ricky on the Phillies...... Ricky is wheelchair bound but boy does he love his baseball....... John and Ricky are best buddies. John takes his Challenger responsibilities very seriously and will not miss a week. John says the smile on Rickys face when he sees him every Saturday is the best, even better than when Liverpool won the European cup........LOL

Baseball Buddies....

This had to go in here at the start of our blog its such an important part of our life. The challenger Division is a program run for kids with disabilities around the area that want to play baseball, brings a lump to my throat everyweek. Anyway, here is Sam with his Baseball Buddy Adrian. Sam and Adrian are on the Braves that take on the Phillies every week, we are a house divided. John is on the Phillies with his buddy Ricky.

Sam hurt his finger in baseball 2 weeks ago and its now in a splint........ he is in a panic his baseball career is over.......... LOL
