Perseverance......!!!!!

Well done to Sam, after months of trying to master the rubik's cube finally he made it. I cant believe the patience it took to work this out he researched all about algorithms himself on the internet with a little help from Mr Melrose and Hank. I have to admit I cant believe he has done it, the rubik's cube drives me nuts. Sam has a message for Grandad, "Grandad, I will bring my Rubik's cube over to England and do it for you and Nana".

Finally......

We have finally found a Football team for John, one of the English coaches from summer camp has a team out of Orlando that he asked would John come and try out for they are U15. We took John on Thursday night and he was brilliant, the coach was more or less begging us to let him play for them. The team is at the top of the league at the moment and there are two games left in the season and then the cup final.

Rubik's Update.....

Sam started to work on the Rubik's Cube last year, he was on a mission to complete it. We thought it would never happen but every so often he picked up the cube and worked on it. His teacher this year Mr Melrose said he would help him complete it before Sam left his class to move upto the next grade, he is doing a good job as this is where we are upto today. Go Sam we know you can do it......

The end of Soccer Camp

Soccer Camp is over the kids had a blast, the coaches were really good with the kids and they learnt a lot over the course of the week. Spring Break week went really fast too.......!!!! Sam is in a soccer tournament tomorrow for the full day which should be a lot of fun, although his heels are full of blisters now with all the wearing of footie boots. The weekend should be a nice relaxing weekend we were off work today for Good Friday and are all looking forward to the Long Summer Break it cant come soon enough........

Sports Update.....

The boys are taking part in a Footie camp this week while they are out of school. They are having a great time, the two coaches are from England and are giving the kids all the "calm down, calm down" jokes.......!!!!!!! The weather has been perfect football weather too, although today it was warmer in Liverpool than it was here, I couldn't believe how cold it was today, and it was really windy. One of the Coaches asked John if he would like to join his team as they needed a keeper, our John was happy. So now we have found a team for John .....finally.........!!!!!! I have not mentioned about Sam's baseball team this season, we are about 0-10 at the moment having lost every game we have played, he is taking defeat well and has big hopes about next season, if he decides to play he said......!!!!!!
